A little about me

Welcome! I’m Summer.

I’m a wellness enthusiast, mom, wife, daughter, and friend. I’ve been an RN since 1996 and a CRNA since 2009. I’ve also authored continuing education curriculum for CRNAs and other healthcare professionals. I know how deeply we pour ourselves into caring for others, and how easy it is to lose connection with ourselves along the way.

I’m passionate about creating space for clinicians, care teams, and communities to turn some of that same care inward—to reconnect and remember who we are beyond the roles we hold.

I want the people who care for others to feel more aware, connected, and valued within their work—not only when they finally have time to recover from it.

YogaSOL Rising reflects my belief that caring for others and caring for ourselves do not have to live in opposition. There is not always time to step away during a demanding clinical moment, but an intentional breath or awareness of the body can offer a familiar point of attention. Through breath, accessible movement, mindful awareness, reflection, and connection, I help people explore cues that may support a more intentional response.

My journey back to myself

Learning to care for myself as a whole person.

My journey through infertility brought both deep heartache and, ultimately, my greatest gift—my favorite (and only!) daughter.

Along the way, yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness became anchors for me, teaching me how to stay present through uncertainty, soften into what I couldn’t control, and care for myself as a whole person.

More than the roles we hold.

I believe we each have the capacity to stay connected to ourselves beyond the operating room and within it. It’s an honor to offer community, compassion, and connection to clinicians, care teams, and communities.

“I want people to see the operating room not simply as a place where we care for patients, but as a human ecosystem—where our own presence, awareness, and wellbeing shape how we care, connect, and thrive together.”

Through YogaSOL, I bring that same care to teams, communities, and gatherings—creating space to pause, move, breathe, and reconnect. Participants can explore their own brief, embodied cues to draw on when a full practice or pause is not possible.
