Retreats, conferences & professional gatherings

A meaningful pause. Practical skills for the work ahead.

For medical and corporate retreats, association conferences, and hospital or care-team gatherings, YogaSOL turns a shared pause into practical learning. With Summer’s guidance, participants practice recognizing stress, using breath and movement to steady their attention, and connecting with greater intention—skills they can bring back to a shift, meeting, or demanding conversation.

Explore the approach

Learning through experience

Make room for learning that goes back with you.

Summer draws on her experience as a nurse anesthetist (CRNA), a 500-hour yoga teacher, and a continuing education curriculum author to connect nervous-system science with guided practice. Participants experience the tools themselves, rather than only hearing why well-being matters.

  • Recognize your stress signals. Notice changes in breathing, muscle tension, or attention before they carry into a handoff, meeting, or conversation.
  • Build a familiar reset. Practice accessible breathing, gentle movement, and body-awareness tools that you can adapt to a brief transition—not only a full yoga session.
  • Respond with greater intention. Explore pauses that help you listen, choose your next words, and reconnect with the person in front of you.

The aim is to leave with familiar practices you can recognize, repeat, and adapt within your workday—not simply a relaxing memory of the event.

Your people, their professional lives

Shaped around your people and their work.

A professional conference, a clinical retreat, and a team offsite ask different things of the people attending. Summer adapts the pace, movement options, and reflection to your group and setting, then connects the practices to situations participants recognize in their professional lives.

  • Medical retreatsConnect stress physiology with the lived experience of clinical work, and explore breath and body-awareness cues for transitions between cases, patient encounters, or the commute home.
  • Hospitals & care teamsPractice noticing your own state before a handoff or difficult exchange. Explore how presence, tone, and listening contribute to connection with colleagues in high-demand environments.
  • Corporate retreats & team offsitesUse grounding, mindful movement, and attention practices before presentations, between meetings, or during difficult conversations. Reflect on how you respond under pressure and communicate within a team.
  • Association conferences & professional communitiesTurn a shared practice into tools attendees can bring back to their own workplaces: brief resets, reflective self-awareness, and intentional listening across professional roles.

From shared practice to everyday work

Leave with skills—not just a pause.

Self-awareness becomes a professional skill when you can notice your state before it shapes your next interaction. Summer connects nervous-system science with breath, movement, mindfulness, and reflection so participants can explore steadier attention, more deliberate responses, and greater awareness of how they affect the people around them.

Participants identify practices that feel usable for them and the moments when they might reach for them: before a presentation, between patient encounters, after a difficult exchange, or on the way home. Repeated practice helps those cues become familiar when there is no time for a full session.

Build an experience your people can use

What should your people take back to work?

Start with who is attending, what their work demands, and the skills you want them to build—whether that is self-regulation, focus, recovery, or connection. Summer will shape your retreat, conference, or care-team gathering around those goals, your setting, and the time available, with practical tools participants can return to after the event.
